OUR ENGAGING APPROACH TO LEARNING WILL ENSURE THAT IT IS A CLASS TO REMEMBER!
Rabit Rearing
Animal Life Cycle Education. Investigate and explore how a mother rabbit rears her young and observe changes that occur overtime.
Over 4 weeks, children care for newborn rabbits (kittens) and their mother to gain an understanding of the changing needs of the rabbits and how to care for a pet.
Children observe the dramatic changes that take place as the rabbits develop over time, from kittens total dependence on their Mother, right through to when they become independent rabbits.

What to expect from a Rabbit Rearing Program
We bring out a home on wheels for our mummy bunny (Doe) and her kittens. Similar to the picture shown. We set up the enclosure with food, water and wood shavings and equip you with the knowledge to care for your pets.
Up one end will be the ‘nest’ with the babies and fur and straw.
For the first 2 weeks you will not be able to pick up the babies and play with them however after they are jumping out of the nest themselves, the nest can be removed and the babies along with mum are able to come out in a controlled environment for pats and to play.
Rabbit Rearing and Early Learning
Our focus on Science Foundations & complimenting the Australia School Curriculum.
Rabbit Rearing Objective:
To introduce children to Rabbits life cycle, stages of development, different needs as they grow and the responsibilities required to care for a pet on a daily basis.
The Rabbit Rearing Life Cycle Program demonstrates living things grow change and have off spring similar to themselves.
Living things have life cycles and depend on each other and their environment to survive.
Children are taught the basic needs of the kittens, including a diet of food and water and the important duties and responsibilities of caring for a pet.
