Farmyard Nursery with our Farm Animals

Feed, pat and hold our friendly farm animals

We offer children a chance to touch, feed, hold and see the animals in an interactive environment. The Mobile Animal Farm is Suitable for all occasions and for all ages. You can invite us along to simply provide fun and interactive environment for your children at a Private Party or Public Event, or add an educational touch for Schools, Kinders and community groups. You can request a talk to be given for your children about the features of each farm animal and their use in our society (Please request when booking your event). We can set-up indoors or out, on most surfaces using a tarp if necessary (Please Request prior to set-up). We have two 3m X 3m shade tents we can set up as shelter or shade in case of rain or sun and most importantly we clean up after ourselves and the animals.

WHAT WE BRING:

Approx 35 farm animals
Farm Animal feed
2x straw bales to sit on
Water bowls
Waste bucket (for cleaning up after animals)
2 x shade tent 3m X 3m (if required)
Tarp (if required)
Fenced Enclosure (max size 6m X 6m), we can change the shape and size to suit most areas.

ENCLOSURE:

Our Mobile Animal Farm enclosure is 6m X 6m at its largest, we can change the shape and size to suit most areas. We require a minimum area  of 4m x 4m, and the largest area required is 6m x 6m. We are extremely flexible, so are able to set up in backyards, garages, driveways or indoors. A large tarp can be supplied as ground cover and the area cleaned before we leave.
In case of rain or hot weather, two marquees measuring 3m x 3m each will be supplied to provide shelter for you and your group..

SPECIFIC AIM OF THIS UNIT:

To identify and describe animals found in the farmyard. Investigate and report the use of animals in our daily lives. The farmyard program aims to provide people with the chance to get up and close to commonly farmed animals in a safe and controlled environment. We can provide information on the features of each animal as well as details on their uses in the commercial industries. It is a great program for building confidence with awareness of animals and their welfare. Upon entry to the farm, each person is given food for the animals to ensure thier educational experiance is up close and fun!

WHO WE CATER FOR!

Childcares/kindergartens:

Little kids (as well as the grownups!) love the chance to cuddle and feed their favorite animals! We offer young children the chance to finally meet the stars of their favorite books and TV shows, whilst teaching them about the animals and why we need them in our lives.

Primary Schools:

Primary school children will love the opportunity to get up close and personal with all our friendly farm animals! The program fits in perfectly with the school curriculum, and can be a great teaching aid. Allowing the children to be hands on helps to develop their interest in animals, and this can be translated well to the classroom. High Schools:

Our farmyard is perfect for science and agriculture classes, allowing students to meet in person the animals they have been learning about. Our hands on approach to learning will ensure that it is a class to remember! Our staff can teach the students about the unique features of all the animals and how they are utilized in our daily lives. Birthday Parties:

Why not invite all your friends to a farmyard party? Our farmers for the day can help your children with handling and feeding the animals, we can take the stress out of your child’s big day! We offer 10 free activity packs with every Animals on the Move party we also offer party invitations and activity sheets, available for free in the ‘downloads’ section of our website. Our activity packs include an activity book, pencils, balloons and stickers. Extra packs can be purchased for $2 each, you can even purchase Farmyard themed Party hats, Paper plates, Paper cups, Party blowers and Lollie bags (visit our online store or order over the phone). We offer the whole experience you can even play our “Pin the Tail on the Piggie” game!

Fetes and Shopping Centers:

The Farmyard can be a fun experience for all ages, and is guaranteed to leave people talking about your event!

Nursing Homes:

The Farmyard can offer a great experience for the elderly. Whether it’s reliving their childhood or doing something new, the farmyard is always a hit. Our farmyard can also be used as a form of pet therapy, allowing the elderly to maintain their dexterity.

Please remember when you are planning your event we require:

1. Close access to set-up area (no more than 30m distance from our vehicle)
2. Clear access from our vehicle to set-up area (no obstacles, stairs, lifts, steep slopes, etc
3. For safety reasons we appreciate assistance in keeping curious onlookers at a safe distance until set-up is complete.
4. Access to water for the animals.

A LITTLE MORE INFO...

Our Mobile Farm session is also very hands on where the children get to wander free with our friendly farm animals, We bring feed for the animals so you can all feed the pets too. At your request we can also provide a talk for your class all about why we farm animals, please request for educational talks when making your booking. Fete or Public Event: All our sessions suit large events, from the Mobile farm and Pony Rides (1-4 available) to the more educational Bush Babies Display or Milking Demonstration, maybe even a specialized program for your specific requests! For sessions over 3hours duration Rest times may apply, we appreciate your understanding as ½hr every 2 hrs is required for the well being of the animals. If you would like to book a 5+ hour fete or long event online and would like a start time other than 10am please make your booking and enter your preferred session time in the comments box as we may be able to assist you with earlier or later start times.
