Chicken Hatching
This session is specifically designed to provide children with a unique interactive experience where they can observe aspects of the life cycle of a chicken.
We bring to you an incubator which has a clear plastic dome so every step of the hatching process can be seen with ease.
Our Chicken hatching program is very simple, so anyone can operate it and enjoy watching chickens hatch.
How it works:
We set up the incubator for you and supply you with 6 - 8 eggs which have been previously incubated and are ready to hatch.
We also bring a heated brooder box to house the chickens once they have hatched.
We deliver all the accessories, food, bedding and cleaning equipment that you will need for the 1 or 2 week period.
At the end of the program we return to collect the chickens and accessories, after your program the chickens can be purchased for $5.50 each. Visit our Online Pet Shop to find more pets and accessories.
What we bring:
2x Day old chickens- to go in brooder box
6-8 fertile eggs- to go in incubator
Incubator- for eggs
Brooder Box- for chickens
Food Bowl- in brooder box
Water Bowl- in brooder box
Wood Shavings- for brooder box
Chicken Feed- for chicks
Enclosure:
The ready to hatch eggs will be kept in the incubator that is set to the perfect temperature. You may need to check the water levels- find more info below in our chicken Hatching Manual.
After 48 hours in the incubator the fluffy newly hatched chicks are ready to go to the heated brooder box.
Session Times:
Chicken hatching can be a 1 or 2 week program
Delivery- Monday, Pick up- Friday
